Thanh Hoa Women's Union

The Thanh Hoa Province Women Union (WU)  is a social political organisation, made up of women age 18 or older who come from all walks of life (regardless of ethnicity and religion). The objectives of the WU is to work for the equality of women, the protection of their rights and benefits, and the development of their social and economic conditions.


The WU has 6 main goals :

- To educate women to increase their social awareness and working capacity.

- To support women in income-generating activities.

- To contribute to the development of well-off, equitable, progressive, and happy families

- To build and develop a strong organization

- To participate in the development and to monitor the implementation of legal regulations on gender equality

- To carry out external affair activities at the grass-roots level


The Thanh Hoa Province Women Union  operates on the principle of centralized democracy (the group leads, while the individual takes charge). The Standing Committee is comprised of 13 persons  and the Executive committee is comprised of 55 persons, with one Chairperson and 3 Vice Chairpersons. The current structure has 3 operational levels, provincial, district, and communal.

Save the Children is an international NGO working to improve the health, education, and economic well being of children and their families. Save the Children has been working in Vietnam since 1990, and, along with the Women’s Union, was a founding partner of the Thanh Hoa Microfinance Program, which then became the Thanh Hoa Fund for Poor Women.

Save the Children’s support of the Fund includes technical and administrative support, strategic guidance, and sector development. Save the Children also uses its established reputation and global presence to raise funds for the Fund from international donors, and then serves as an intermediary for the disbursement of those funds.

Kiva

 

 

 

 

 

Kiva is a non-profit website that connects individual lenders with individual borrowers in the developing world. Local microfinance providers in the developing world post client profiles and loan requests on the Kiva website, and Kiva lenders fund the loans in increments of $25. Kiva aggregates and disburses these loan funds to microfinance programs and charges no interest or fees for its services.

Mix Market

 

 

 

 

The MIX Market is a website run by the non-profit Microfinance Information Exchange (MIX). The MIX Market website (mixmarket.org) allows microfinance programs to post information, including audited financial statements and outreach indicators and to receive a rating based on the degree of transparency. This system both enables fundraising and facilitates comparison between microfinance programs.

NGV Joint stock company

 

Established since 23 January 04, 2008, NGV joint stock company is a company specialized in providing software solutions in the field of Finance, Banking and E-Commerce.


Over four years, NGV has gradually affirmed the value and benefits to customers and partners, such as: produce eFund application (the software that process core business for the grassroots people's credit funds) for more than 200 people's credit funds in 21 provinces and cities across the country; products mFinance application (processing software for core business for microfinance organizations) for a number of MFIs in the country; products sGateway application (portal to communicate with the central bank) for a number of commercial banks; work with Temenos to implemented products T24 (Core Banking software for commercial banks) for a number of commercial banks ...


In 2010, the NGV joint sotck company has signed contracts to produce software mFinance - core business processing software for microfinance organizations to the Thanh Hoa Fund for Poor Women. After two years of programing and development, the software was officially put into operation. mFiance helped FPW to manages the entire credit activities and financial by computer systems. This is a FPW’s important milestone in the efforts to improve the capacity and professionalism of the fund staff.
